Hi, folks. For those wondering where I’ve been for most of the year, please follow me over to Tumblr for the time being. For all the other stuff (twitter, flickr, etc.) there is now BBrux.com.
Pre-CMJ Quickie Band Photos In NYC!

Bleubird & Astronautalis aka Boyfriends, Inc.
I’m in NYC with some free time before the CMJ Music Marathon next week, so I’ve decided to make the most use of my time and offer a special price on photos for musicians (though anybody in need of photos is welcome to the same deal). For $75, you get a shoot up to two hours at the location of your choosing (Manhattan or Brooklyn work best for me, but I can be flexible). This offer is good Tuesday (10/13) to Friday (10/16). If you’re interested, get in touch!

Look, Ma, I Made A Concert Series!
In celebration of the first year of my Portland, Maine music blog/show list/late-night-junk-food-documenting site HillyTown, I put together an all ages free concert series at SPACE Gallery next month. Details here.
Since Last We Spoke
Once again my music blogging activities have been pretty much limited to the action over at good old HillyTown, where things have been fairly lively. In fact, there’s an interview with me up at the Portland Press Herald website today about that site, and some of my other current projects.
Speaking of other projects…
Last week I launched my new photography portfolio site at BryanBruchman.com.
Portland Pins is a really fun collaborative local art project that I started with my friend Kris Johnsen. Portland has a great art scene and it’s been amazing to see people contribute to something like this. If you are in town (or passing through) make sure to stop by Eli-Phant to get your own random one-of-a-kind pins from Portland artists!
Goes Cube Swaps Matts, Go On Tour
As announced on Earfarm, founding Goes Cube member (and all-around awesome guy) Matt Frey will be leaving the band immediately following next week’s release show for Another Day Has Passed. Bass duties will be taken up by Matt Tyson (affectionately known as “Mister Earfarm” in these parts). If you’re in NY, definitely make it out to the May 14th release show at Webster Hall to see Matt Frey off properly at his last show with the group, and to wish the band (now with Matt Tyson) luck on the road!
Goes Cube tour dates after the jump:
